ByerlyRips try this.. open the terminal app (in the utilities folder) type cd /System/Library/Extensions hit (or gently press) return then type sudo chown -R root:wheel AppleSCCSerial.kext hit (or gently press) return again. enter you password (it will look like nothing is being typed )...

did you "sudo chown -R root:wheel" the AppleSCCSerial.kext ?

log in as root and put it in you '/System/Library/Extensions" folder, i think that should do it. i had instructions but i cant find them at the moment

i dont have AIM but i get the clock freeze also. to get it going again, open the system prefs....go to date&time click or unclick the "show the clock in the menu". and it should start again. if you go the Sound and click or unclick "show sound in the menu bar" ....the freeze is broken...

Ed, thanks for being my trouble shooting buddy :) it is working fine in mac os 9...BTW 9 is really really fast (havent booted into 9 in months) could have been that ip thing ...i have a dynamic ip. its late here 12.48....so i will leave it alone until tomorrow, and hope it is fixed

for the tabbed web pages, control + click on a link and you should see, "open in tab" as for the aqua interface...i dont know about that

i just got a 5 minute freeze...so i guess 10.1.2 does not fix the "freeze" problem
