That's right, on the right side (sorry for mistake). I also have PB 500, but in 550 CD-RW model - there's no eject button. I'll try Victor's trick - hope it will work.

Hi, I got myself 550MHZ G4 Powerbook with CD-RW, and.. what a supprise - there's no tiny eject button inside CD-slot (in 500Mhz model there was one on the left side of the hole). If is - how do you eject your stucked CD? :confused:

I mean boot to single user to change root password. In single user mode you are allowed to do that without confirmation, because 'you are root' in the console, no questions asked. passwd.

then bootup to single user mode - no password required.

"sudo passwd root " in terminal. after giving your password you can change root's one.

GrBear, I just checked my connection speed, it's 100MBPs, FullDuplex direct crossed cable and I'm still having problems. I observe that delay appears when handling huge files in remote filesystem.
