    Wireless Firewire?

I think WiFire is a pretty good name for it. All these wireless signals running through the air. Wonder when the conspiracy theory is going to come up that our minds are being tampered with with all these signals. Like 802.11G lowers your sperm count. (Now I can see a whole bunch of guys...

How long do you keep your laptop on?

Cool, thanks for the info. I just wanted to make sure since this is my first portable. And, sorry to hear your unwanted shutdowns Natobasso. Right now, I am going to use the rule of thumb of if its not going to be used within 24hrs, then it will be shut down. (Which me without it for...

    My Killer IOGEAR USB Mouse

I recently purchased some new gear for my computing needs. The one item that seems to interest everyone at work and around my "circles" is my new mouse. I was originally looking to get a wireless mouse but decided against it when I found this sweet tech geeky item from IOGEAR. It is a USB...

Lack of RAM on my iBook ?'s

That's what I thought. I just wanted to make sure. I was 90% positive on the battery but was not so sure about routers. Thanks Delta.

Lack of RAM on my iBook ?'s

My iBook 900mhz is only sporting 128MB of RAM right now. I have some, hopefully not too stupid, questions on the lack of RAM. Does my iBook work harder and drain the battery faster? Esp. when I am opening apps. This one is probably dumber: Will the lack of memory in any way slow down...

^If that is the case, then that 10-15% claim mac has is really impressive. I'm sure many mac enthusiasts own a cheap piece of crap PC that strikes them from counting. Hell, I have an aincient P75 in the basement that hasn't been booted up in 5yrs. Does that exclude me?

How long do you keep your laptop on?

I just got an iBook. I am so used to my iMac and having it constantly on. Either active or in sleep mode. The machine rarely was restarted or shutdown for long durations. What is the overall consensus on your power activities on your iBook or pBook.

Our sys eng dept here (work for an ISP/Data Center) is slowly merging over to OS X. I was the first to get them flying in the right direction when I was employed 5 years ago. I was the only mac user in our division. Once OS X came along and I showed uff its beauty, they were sold. I think within...

    transfer email/filters/accounts from Mail.app to another Mail.app

Yes of course they are on different machines. I didn't even start the mail app on my new iBook yet. What can I do to flawlessly transfer all emails, rules, accounts over from one computer to another? Thanks.

    Best apps/utilities for your Mac

I recently bought an iBook just this week, and I am starting over with what the kids call "pimping" my iBook. I've put some work into my old iMac and I am starting over fresh. (Except for my music, vids, docs, etc) This thread is to find out what apps people almost lust over on their mac...

    Airport Cards (non-extreme)

Ebay Airport cards are ridiculous anymore. I seen some go for 135$. Amazon no longer sells Airport cards. No used either. I bought one this week for 50$ at Mac of All Trades.

That is a great idea. Now mix that with the Newton I mentioned earlier and we got a winner. Just don't lose it or you'll be F'd. So lets add a fingerprint authenticating grip.

I would like to see a hybrid Newton MessagePad mixed with an iPod. And of course be Blue Tooth.

    Xbox Live help

Well, what ideas did you do already? Error messages? How did you have it connected? The Xbox should just run into one of the ports of the base station.
