Yes, I have my router set to accept only certain MAC addresses - it's under MAC address filtering. That way only your WiFi enabled computers can access the router at all.

It's possible the AirPort slot on the motherboard is bad. It happened to a friend while under warranty and Apple replaced the slot.

BTW, Acrobat 5.0.5 will run under OS X natively. Acrobat 5.0 will not.

Yep, I'll add my "definitely won't" need drivers to the above 2 responses.... I've used a D-Link wired/wireless and am now using an Asanté wired/wireless, both without drivers. The interfaces are web-based and easy to use.

Ok, we got the CD drive part. Which G4 tower? Sounds like either you need to clean the lens (using a commercial cd drive cleaner) or the laser is dying and you'll have to replace the drive. I'd try cleaning the lens first.

On a D-Link wireless router, you must set it to Long Preamble (in the advanced settings) - it is automatically set to Short Preamble, which is incompatible with the Mac.

How are you attaching the file - are you drag 'n dropping or are you clicking Attach File? I just attached a file here that was 8.1 MB according to the Finder; Mail says it's 7.9 MB..... I think "Windows Friendly Attachment" is the only encoding option to change.

What utility are you using to generate the key? AirPort uses a different algorithm than everyone else. What router are you using? Some of them have a built-in keygen.
