When I try to print something on Mac OS X 10.1.3, the Print Center will open, but also a "Folder" called "PrintJobMgr". Its not really a folder, it seems to be an app as it bounces around on the left side of the dock. I can even bring it to front. But it has the icon of a folder. Is this normal...

i've registered unsanity echo :D the other progs are os 9 only (like ines, app that gives u a dock under os 9 [forgot the name], etc...) :)

in my opinion apple should take out the complete file extension thing of os x and continue using os 9 resources! i liked them much more!

well, its only a pdc server! but i guess most of use use our os x macs for work. so os x has a pretty good stability. i bet windows nt wouldnt get a longer uptime than like 1 month if it was used for doing work.

try the following: create a new empty folder in the finder. name it "New Folder.rtf" now open up the information window and.... the folder is no more a folder. its now a rich text file! pretty interesting. its then even possible to drag the folder onto textedit ... but unfortunately...

well... they are mac compatible, but they're designed for windoze xp..... i.e. the cameras are in colors green and blue and they look damn ugly.

it should b possible to have desktops for different users. like in windo*# x*, where u can change users without logging out! this would be sooooo great! this is the only thing i like with windows xp

maybe u will also need to enter the ip of a dns server on the router or on the other machines.

also the recently used programms menu under the apple often takes a long time until it appears on the screen. maybe it has something to do with all the icon stuff os x has to load everytime we access a folder. it even displays the icons inside the menus.

this os is just too advanced for our not so advanced macs :D

when i'm using entourage on my mac i can still use the media (volume) keys on my keyboard. maybe u should try a reboot. ive also experienced some strange behavior with the media keys after my mac wuz running for like 20 days.

u can use all the following things to crash win9x /nul/nul /dev/dev (not sure whether this works) /con/con /prn/prn one can also create a nul folder over the network on another win9x/nt/2000/xp pc. this is funny because the nul folder can never ever be deleted again until format c: :D...

i gave it a try and the new virtual pc speed is really good. i just wonder what the installer does, because i had to restart after the installation. does anybody know that?

the html thing only works with win9x/me! win2000/xp/nt won't crash as they don't have that old dos underlying.

in my opinion, the current finder version is a joke. the menus are unlogical, keyboard shortcuts changed, its not multithreaded, the copy dialog looks bad, list view doesnt work right, its slooooow etc.... id rather use mac os 6's old multifinder than os x's new finder. hopefully apple will...
