Best way to go from iMovie to iDVD

I am not sure if I am following the right procedure to make DVD's from iMovie. After I finish editing my file, I go to Share and Export the movie as a DV stream. This can take quite some time. Then I open iDVD and drop that DV stream file onto the drop zone of the look that I want. I click on...

MAC to PC Video chat with Bellsouth DSL

Well for a quick test we dropped the firewall and went DMZ. It still did not work. I can invite him to the chat, he accepts, but the negotiation never completes. It always times out or fails.

Ok so I need some very specific help with a problem. I have a MAC running iChat over Cable Modem. My father has a PC running AIM over Bellsouth DSL using a Westell 6100 modem/router. We can't establish a video connection. We always get the error the connection failed. I know my end is ok, as I...

If you sent them back the original disks, you get your purchase price refunded. You only get the coupon if you opt to keep the disks.

You also can not share a printer on Airport with a machine running 9. so what I am looking for is a non apple solution. A third party printer server that will allow...

None of the print servers in those work with a Mac. I spoke to Dlink and the software needed to configure them is for PC only.

    RCV Window not changing?

Since I upgraded to Panther I have noticed an interesting problem. I use a program to set my TCP RCV window to 54020, and terminal confirms that is what the window is. But when I go to http://www.speedguide.net/analyzer it always says my window is 65535. I also get the same results off of the...

Force Ethernet Speed on iMac 333

In OS 9 it works perfectly. So that confirms that it is a driver issue in OSX.

Force Ethernet Speed on iMac 333

I tried that command as well, and it also came back as an unsupported command. I am hoping that Panther will have a rewritten Ethernet driver and this issue will go away.

Force Ethernet Speed on iMac 333

Is there any way in OSX to force the speed/duplex mode in an older iMac 333mhz machine? The standard terminal commands do not work, nor does Cocktail. It seems that the old iMac uses a BMAC ethernet chip set, wheras modern Macs use a GMAC chip set. The BMAC must need different commands, but I...

    Forcing 10/full duplex

I put a 10Mbps hub in the path and it all works great now. While the speed is limited to about 9Mbps. It is consistant in both directions. No more stalls or CRC errors. Since my cable modem connection is only 2Mbps it really does not matter that the iMac is on a slower port than the other machines.

    Ethernet slow one way?

Well I have one last idea. Since I cant force 10/Full on the iMac by way of any command, I am going to force it by way of a hub. I am going to insert a 10Mbps hub in between the iMac and the Router. That should force the iMac to drop down to 10/Full from 100/Full. I will let you all know...
