Wow. This is an old thread. Yeah, I have WMP now. Works fine for all the video files that QuickTime doesn't handle. So now I've got both.

This is a battery replacement (the original Apple battery finally died) which I bought from OWC in May 2008, so it's only a little over a year old. So, I don't think it's the battery.

No, I didn't say it runs slow. I said it runs great. It quits very slow. The only time FF actually runs slow is when I leave the app running (i.e., don't quit the app), then after a day or two - due to memory leaks, from what I've been told - then it runs slow. I know. I agree. DeltaMac said...

Oops ... maybe I didn't make my problem clear. See, FF runs very swift and flawless while running. My problem is: It takes forever to quit. Does that make sense? (Sorry if I'm confusing everyone.)

Yes, for two reasons: 1. If you leave apps running all the time, this can cause memory leaks. 2. I'm anal and like to quit everything before sleeping my laptop.

Firefox works great, but when I quit the app, I have to sit and wait several minutes for it to finish quitting before closing my laptop. It's not a big deal, but it's annoying at times - especially when I'm rushing in between clients. I'd like to be able to just quit and close and off I go. Is...

Oh, yeah, I totally get that. I just wondered if there were any YouTube vids that are close captioned. Seems like none of them are - at least, I haven't found any yet. Which is surprising because 99 percent of TV shows and movies are, indeed, close captioned ... but when you watch them on...

I see a button in the bottom-right corner of the screen while watching YouTube videos, but every single video I click on says "Close caption not available." Are there any videos that are close captioned? Can I install a script of some sort that will make everything I watch close captioned...
