Something is dead wrong on your config... It could be a bad installed of OS X... It could be a hardware issue... IF it is possible do a clean install and see what gives. If the problem will not go away it IS a hardware issue! :o BTW things people say that OS X doesn't crash? It is true you...

For how long did you leave it there? I've done 4-5 installs of OOo 1.1.2 and in all of them the installation at the end always took a lot of time! I cannot gauge the time currently but iirc it was more than some 5-6 minutes... Just in case: Remove any extra fonts (non factory ones) or even...
