    Righthanded mouse - legal?

Well, I don't see anything wrong with making right-handed mice, it IS what the majority of people want. However, I do think these developers should be forced to make a keyboard WITHOUT a right-only mouse bundled, or with no mouse bundled. Preferably the latter since I prefer a wireless keyboard...

    Fink not installing stuff...

So, I downloaded the great Fink, and it downloads stuff as much as I want it to, then it complains that I don't have a C compiler. It suggests I upgrade Apple Developer Tools, though I have none. I joined as a developer for free, but downloading these 600MB from this iDisk-like thing really...

Real suing Microsoft - here we go again!

Now, I don't know the legal issues involved, but Real can blame themselves. I used to love 'em, but have you tried to use RealPlayer recently? Let alone DOWNLOAD it? I gave up on the download part since they required me to register everything from credit card number to my parents' social...

    IRC Client

Well, seeing as how they are all bades on the general idea of sharing text with othher people, I guess they are all "Text based", but personally, I find X-Chat Aqua to be the best alternative. Also, unlike Ircle and Snak, X-Chat Aqua is free.

    Not a Mac :(

Also, when getting a new one, try building one from scratch. There's not much you can do wrong as most parts fit one place and only there, and pcguide.com is the Macosx.com of PCs, they help very much. This may not be very visible in terms of benchmarking, but it will sure be easier to upgrade...
