Precisely the predicament... There's three scenarios: 1) Picture opens fine in both Preview and iPhoto 2) Picture opens fine in Preview, but won't import into iPhoto 3) Picture opens in neither Preview, or get imported into iPhoto 2 and 3 seem happen MUCH more than 1. Sadly.

It's pretty clear from benchmarks that if Apple does in fact release an iBook powered by dual-core Yonah's, they will significantly outperform the current PowerBooks. I still would not want to be an early adopter of the intel Macs though, because of the bugs that are most likely to come with...

Hmm this might be the reason why Safari seems so much snappier. It used to hang on "Contacting www.blabla.com" for a lot of sites for at least 2 seconds every time. Very annoying.

I have owned a 1st gen iPod, two 3rd gens, a 4th gen, and now a Nano. I do not understand why there is so much talk about iPod screen scratching, as every single iPod i have ever owned seems to have LCDs made of the same material, all scratching equally easily. I don't understand why there...

isn't customary of apple to release these kinds of updates on tuesday's one or two weeks following a big announcement? (ipod nano) I've personally been thinking this to be the case once the Nano was unveiled.

I want to add USB 2.0 to my 1GHz TiBook running Tiger. I'd like something that i plug into the pcmcia slot and just works -- without an external power adaptor...but after reading around, i am unsure which ones need the adaptor and which don't. Any recommendations?

I have the same all in one printer, which driver are you using on Tiger? I will be setting it up in a few days (it's in storage up at school)

My moms credit card # got stolen twice, two different cards. She does a lot of online purchasing with her windows pc. I told her it was most likely spyware. You'd think 2 times would be enough to ditch the PC and get a Mac Mini :rolleyes:

just either relaunch the Finder or reboot. I have never seen this on 10.4, but also experienced similar problems with the Finder confusing icons on 10.3 and earlier
