First, the screen grab feaure (cmd-opt-4) now saves the picture as a PNG, not a PDF. Second, the Tiger version of system profiler is a LOT more helpful than the 10.3 version. It gives much more reader-friendly information about such things as video cards.

Interesting. So in Japanese, the phrase 'foreign lady' is used to mean 'prostitute'? Very ironic -- "lady who are waiting for the lord" made me think of nuns...

I'm pretty sure Omniweb can do that -- not sure about Safari.

Incidentally, my "track ball" controls are also behaving screwy in 10.4 - for instance, if I try to drag the 'sun ball' to set the sun's angle, it spins wildly. That could also be my wireless mouse though. Do you have this problem?

Well, you can still open Bryce files by double-clicking them in Finder, at least. And the Save As dialog still responds to the enter key, at least - so presumably you can still type blind. Hopefully the Bryce people will release a patch soon.

I just noticed last night that when running Bryce 5 in Tiger, the File Open and File Save dialogs don't appear onscreen, though the are definitely running. If you command-tab to another app, you can sometimes see the open and save dialogs for Bryce, but if you click on them, the Bryce GUI...

I had the arrow problem with Doom 3. I believe in my case, it was related to the Logitech mouse drivers. I created another user id, did NOT install the mouse driver there, and used it to play Doom 3. Works good (though it's a little inconvenient to have to switch users).

Just thought I'd mention that I've noticed no difference at all in performance of Doom 3 between 10.3.9 and 10.4. :cool:

Okey doke. As I've said, I haven't really been digging deeply into Tiger until the last couple of days, so it's all new to me.) (And the celsius thing was a joke; 55C is 131F. I know it gets hot in AZ, but 131 on May 1st ?!?)

The Spotlight drop down menu/window only shows the top 20 or so matches. To see the whole list, click "Show All" -- the first item in the spotlight drop down.

I'm also trouble-free. The new Mail app is a huge improvement over the old one IMHO. The menu bar seems a lot peppier (try it: click the file menu open, and with the mouse button down, slide back and forth across the other menus. On my machine, it is noticably MUCH more responsive) Apps...
