well, just from first hand experiance, windows servers absolutley suck. my school switched from unix to windows for the server this year, and the network is down every other day. not to mention that every time there is an update, all of the computers on the network shut down at the same time...

the only WiFi that dosent run on 2.43 ghz is 802.11a, which is slow, and not very reliable.

the reason i like this feature is so that when im checking the forums before bed, between classes, or before school, i can easily see what things i have posted in, and can easily continue conversation. and yes, it does sometimes have to do with memory. for instance, i had totally forgotten about...

id reccomend simplyMEPIS if the machines can handle it. or, just keep them all for youself and make a beowulf cluster. :)

there is an extention for firefox (on windoze at least) that adds the option of veiwing a page in IE to the right click menu. its called ieveiw. might want to check it out.

im a newbie to mac too, but as far as i know, os x just works. no tweaking needed. only personal customization.

i switched back to the PR. i couldent get the tab browser extentions to work with the new one.
