Ah figured out the problem. It would not let me move files to the locked folders on the Windows partition, even after I authenticated. Is there a way to unlock these folders? Just unchecking the unlock button doesn't work, it won't stay unlocked.

A bit to late to say this, but yes you would want a bootable backup, not just one with your important files. This is because you would need something to boot from to repair your hard drive if something goes wrong. Of course, I think you could repair it from the install disk, but my HD was...
