How to print to a windows networked printer?

Hi, I have a Hp Photosmart 7800 printer attached to a windows computer that has the wifi. How would I go about printing to that from my mac, connected to the network? I'm running Leopard 10.5.2 and when I try to add the new printer in system preferences it just won't detect the printer over the...

ove NTFS that overwrote OS X partition?

I'm not exactly following what your problem is, but if you have a time machine backup and a mac os x leopard install disk, you should be good to go. Just put in the disc and hold down option to boot from it, then when it all loads up do a restore from time machine backup (somewhere in the top...

Hard Drive going to crash soon?

I booted back into Windows after the failure, and it had to verify and restore the HD and all that... I took a video of it happening. When I logged back in, the error report when I sent it told me they didn't know exactly the cause, but it was probably a RAM error -...

Hard Drive going to crash soon?

I am using Boot Camp and after I logged into my account on Windows today and opened Messanger, it suddenly came to a black screen with some scrolling green text for a second, then restarted me back into Mac. I asked my friend about it and he seems to think my hard drive may crash in the next...

    Boot Camp Assistant Retarded

Ah figured out the problem. It would not let me move files to the locked folders on the Windows partition, even after I authenticated. Is there a way to unlock these folders? Just unchecking the unlock button doesn't work, it won't stay unlocked.

    Boot Camp Assistant Retarded

Well I am an admin now but I still cannot unlock those folders.. And as for moving, authenticating works, but then no matter what file I am moving it will complain: "The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items." Now whats all this crap...

    Boot Camp Assistant Retarded

Yes, and no. Hopefully I will be made admin soon so there shouldn't be much problems. Though, Apple really didn't set it up well so you would have to Authenticate when moving files or unlock all the folders on the Windows drive..

    Boot Camp Assistant Retarded

I am trying to move some programs and other files that I used when I had Q EMU. And I am trying to move from Mac-Windows, but I still have to authenticate when moving to the Lacie Disk. Maybe I can set permissions for the Windows partition or Lacie Disk?

    Boot Camp Assistant Retarded

Huh? I cannot access the Mac partition when in Windows, as I cannot see it in My Computer. I was talking about accessing locked folders ON the Windows partition from FINDER when booted in Mac. And I like that external HD idea, because I do have one handy.

    Boot Camp Assistant Retarded

Install of Windows worked great. One problem I have now, though, is when trying to access the Program Files and other folders on the Windows hard drive using the Mac is that the folders are often locked. When I try to unlock them, the box won't uncheck. I can just drag items easily to it, but I...

    Boot Camp Assistant Retarded

Yes, I know all that, and I did buy a full copy of Windows XP with SP2, and unlike last time, the C: is showing up as the Boot Camp partition, but it just isn't the size I want. After some research, I learned some people were having problems because their startup disk wasn't the hard drive they...

    Boot Camp Assistant Retarded

Hi, I recently bought a copy of Windows XP and used Boot Camp Assistant to install Windows. I set the partition size to 12 GB, but somehow it thought I meant 38 GB... The install of Windows was great (besides the fact I wanted to format it as FAT but since it did it as over 36 GB, it did not...

    Boot Camp/Windows XP installation issues

I have a PC computer, and this is its 'reinstallation' disk. I am not sure if it's Service Pack 2.. I used it to install Windows with Q emulation, and it worked fine. Well, I guess there it had nothing about partitioning. I guess I probably just need a new copy of Windows XP? On eBay all I can...

    Boot Camp/Windows XP installation issues

Hi, You may remember that I had overwrote my HD last time I tried to install Windows using Boot Camp. Well, after reformatting it back using my Lacie Disk and restoring from a time machine backup, I am back to normal. Well, now I decided to give it another shot, to see what I did wrong last...

Any good tutorials on installing Boot Camp and Windows XP?

Well, I am 100% sure I chose the C:/ drive that had the partition. And, it only gave me the option to format it using NTSF; I was planning on FAt, but I was never presented the option.

Any good tutorials on installing Boot Camp and Windows XP?

Wait, so back to what Delta said, where did I go wrong installing Windows? I was sure I selected the right drive, is there something I had to do that wasn't said in the install guide? Thanks

Best way to partion Hard Drive

A bit to late to say this, but yes you would want a bootable backup, not just one with your important files. This is because you would need something to boot from to repair your hard drive if something goes wrong. Of course, I think you could repair it from the install disk, but my HD was...
