firefox saves all my passwords and always works perfectly. almost every time you enter a un/pw in a site and login for the first time you should get a promt asking if you want to save or use just that once.

in many ways I really do like safari but firefox wins my vote in the end. before ff 1.0 it was the other way around.

those .guikits are for shapeshifter. the themechanger site has links to other sites with compatible themes. to install it just put in your apps folder. be sure to make an aqua backup before applying a theme and logout right after. http://themechanger.sourceforge.net/
