you are going to have buy the discs... why would anyone buy a computer without the software/OS discs? :rolleyes:

also, if you go with Unix... you can use your MacOSX computer as a development server, get everything working good on it, and then upload it and it will work pretty much exactly as is. (PHP, sHTML, MySQL, etc.) i do this all the time.

you could also open up a terminal and type "last" to determine who has ecently logged into your machine.

Things are starting to pick up though... you have to admit that. Just look at the pile of games just out now, or soon to come out. Aspyr and MacSoft are seriously working their butts off, and things will improve even more as technolgies like "Cg" (Nvidia's new graphics programming language)...

i use IE because it just works with everything... i dont feel a need to be a browser hippie... "Yo, Man, don't use IE, because it made by Microsloth..." Whatever, i like my browser to work with everysite i go to... that means aunthentication, browser plug-in detection and the whole ball of wax.

maybe teh site does need a web developer type furom, but this definitely doesn't belong in the Programming/Porting Carbon Cocoa board... web developmetn and software dev are worlds away from each other... i don't have a clue as to how to make an applicaiton, but i cna do some cool web stuff. :)

i find 192 to be adequate for listening to on a quality stereo... 128 is a bit squashed sounding.

You can use JaneBuilder if you feel you need a visual editor / INterdev / Zend type environment for doing your PHP code. I myself just use BBedit.. however, you said you like having templates and what-not... therefore go to www.seejanecode.com
