I dont get it. You dont want to stop people from pirating the OS? Entering a unique serial number at the install isnt the biggest deal in the world. Sure, its not really going to stop the real pirates, nor does XP activation. But im surprised that this wasnt implemented before.

im not sure about question number 6 exactly, but i believe liteswitch X can solve your problem if you want to be able to switch between windows/apps quickly and efficiently. its basically a copy of "alt-tab" for windows OS's, and im clueless as to why this functionality isnt properly implemented...

I have yet to purchase a dvd-rw disc, but i have found that my memorex dvd-r from amazon burn just fine in my superdrive.

Well, I have a firewire HD enclosure with an old HD [win2k on it] and all the files are fat32. It doesnt read the boot partition in os X [mounting bug, its readable/mountable and works in os9 or jaguar]...and it reads my data partition just fine , both are fat 32.

Yeah after using the 6c8x builds I had this nagging feeling that people expecting it to be as fast/faster than os9 are perhaps going to be dissapointed. But then again....IIRC.... that macosxrumors.com guy said it was fast in a certain build he tried, so who knows. You can never tell with...
