Hmm odd. I'm pretty sure that's the only version of the umod installer that's out there for the mac and pc for that matter as well. The only other thing I can think of is to see if you could download a manual install file of the mod you're trying to install and see if it works that way.

If you have your UT cd, it should be on that in an Extras folder I think.

BF1942 isn't going to happen. The developers have already come out and said they have no interest in it being ported or releasing the source to let another company do the port.

I'm pretty sure you can create the textures for models and maps using maya PLE but for the bot pathing, cap points, etc. you'll need to use UnrealED. IIRC, the PC version of ut2k3 comes w/ some version of Maya for making such textures, models, and maps.

You can also force a reload from the server you're connecting to by holding Shift while clicking the reload button.

It also automatically resumes the file if the server you're downloading from is a POC and drops the connection a lot :)

Just thought I'd mention that if you go into the UT2003.ini file and change 'Channels=32' to 'Channels=8' you'll get a little bump in speed with no noticeable ill effects. Apparently the 32 sound channels is more for the pcs since they have more sound card options with their hardware. This...

Still has problems on CartoonOrbit with Flash, still hangs from time to time when clicking to view the newest reply on a forum, does not work with the newest reply feature on all forums, some pretty nasty caching issues. I think they kind of jumped the gun a little bit here calling this 1.0

MS doesn't care. It makes them no money really so they have no incentive to update it and keep it up w/ the PC version.

I say go for the Radeon. ATi's drivers don't seem as buggy as nVidia's. I can also atest that the Radeon 8500 is a fine graphics card. I've had it for a little more than a year now and haven't had any GPU problems at all. Now if only my processor were a bit faster...

I hope you're ready to wait a real long time because the maker of the game isn't allowing the source code to be released to game porters. Personally this is going to sound very negative, but I've just about lost all my patience w/ gaming on the mac. Ports STILL take too long. I don't care...

Well I wouldn't consider an iMac a "super computer" perse but we all have different perceptions on things. Unless you're a hardware genius there's also no way to remove that video card from your iMac. That's why towers are generally better choices for gaming on a mac.
