What about from the Go menu? I'm thinking the first thing worth doing is trashing your Finder preferences file, ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist.

Is the behavior any different if you open your iDisk from the Go menu (Shift+Command+I) or open a new Finder window in list view and then click your iDisk in the sidebar?
