I have font problems with Flash also. A really annoying one is that some show up in the font list as "CB Univers Condensed Bold" instead of just "Univers Condensed Bold." It gets thrown into a completely different part of the list. Take another look the fonts may be there.

Exactly. There is already a bit of overlapping happening between the iMac and G4 tower. This would confuse things even more.

If the fonts are in a folder, inside the "Fonts" folder it may not work. I always have to put the font files directly in the fonts folder. Also there is a Fonts folder inside "Library" Volume's initial level. I think that's where you typically want to put them.

I'm not really a big fan of the white look, but I think they're fine. They probably didn't put much into the design since it's not really Apple's "pride and joy" like the iMac.
