I'm kind of wondering if this is the direction Apple is going (regardless of naming). If it were me I'd do the "e", "i", "Power" and "X" thing across the board. But there are reasons why Apple probably cannot (current trademarks for example). But what if this is the way things are looking:

You actually only have to SELECT the item (text, file, etc.) You don't need to copy it for Services on that item to work. Even cooler. :-)

This is a very good point and one worth considering. In today's world, with ownership so often diluted, you could own a mere 5-10% of a company and effectively "own" it all. This comes from the fact that the rest of the ownership is so diluted as to be ineffective.
