Test for what??? Apple and thousands of beta testers have already done that! Now, after full release, millions have 'tested' it. You are needlessly creating a monumental headache for yourself.

Yes, you may drag any of the TM folders to the trash and empty it any time you choose, BUT, be advised, it takes a loooong time to empty the trash. (Been there--done that! :) )

Just a few years ago, I bought a Canon refurb, direct from Canon, laser black only wireless scanner/printer, for $99 delivered. Just checked--none available right now, but refurbs show up often.

Left side top press & release; left side bottom press & release; right side press & hold; all is fairly rapid succession. (Ignore any message--just hold until it goes black and then the Apple logo appears--then release) Try again---you'll get the 'hang' of it. :)

The hard reset will not delete anything and all of your settings will remain. I do it, as a routine, about every 2 months.

To further what Cheryl said, do a hard reset. Press and release the Volume Up button, then press and release the Volume Down button, followed by a press and hold of the Side button. Keep the button pressed until you see the Apple logo. It will restart.

The sidebar is only for your convenience. You may remove both libraries from it; and, yes, there are, and should be, two libraries.

IMHO, if you don't care for the old Mini, strip the HD out of it, buy a HD enclosure (from Mac Sales/Other World Computing) and use it as you would any external.
