I wonder where these Apple terms came from.

I have heard about Lisa, and about Steve Jobs working in an orchard, but I have never heard the story about the arsenic-laced apple. Interesting. I have always wondered, too, if Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak had to pay the Beatles to use the name Apple. By the time the first Apple debuted...

    Funny article

Funny comments, Hulk. :) The comments on macnn turned into a debate about Bush and Canada near the end. I guess the death knell counter just scored another hit. I think that makes 22 times (or more) that Apple has been declared dead since 1996. I can't remember which website the death...

    .Mac Members: DropStuff for free!

I, too, have wanted a compression program, but I didn't want one bad enough to pay for it haha...So this is good. It may help me reconsider not renewing .mac in Sept when the introductory price runs out, but I wouldn't bet on it. ;)

    Chimera changing it's name

crazytabby is good....that would be right up all these tabbed browsing people's alley...but seriously..I kind of like Voyager better than Camino (El Camino-like the car/truck hybrid?) and iVoyage.

    New Safari!

I need to do more tests, but it seems faster so far...On the pages I have loaded (which were probably cached from the version it replaced) the pages loaded in half the time it used to take, and the loading process went smoother. I just cleared out my cache and reloaded Macnn.com, and Safari...

Feeling Left out with out a Mac Store

My nearest one is in Atlanta-which is 3 hours away. If I stayed in NC, there is one in Durham which is six hours away. So, whenever you hear the statistic that 85 percent of America lives within 15 miles of an Apple store, Steve isn't talking about me haha..

/dev/null OS X ad (not TV)

I was excited at first. I thought simX had returned. I checked the date, though, and saw it wasn't true. :(

Intel and Steve Jobs rumor - interesting update.

Your posts and your arguments are excellently written, Jeb. I think you make a point- to some degree. I'm still not sure what I think about Apple running on x86, but this post gave me some things to think about. :)

Oh well, I posted twice, and I can't delete it so I will just say I want a new Mac soon.

New Ghz iMacs are really fast!!!

Is that all the time you spend in front of it? It might be sad if I admitted how often I am in front of my Mac. I told somebody once that I spend more time with it than I do my friends haha..

    Virex 7.2

I think it just came out last night sometime. I downloaded Virex 7.1 last night, and by the time I got to work at 11, 7.2 was out haha....So I had to delete it all and reinstall it this morning. I think the auto update feature is something that is long overdue. As soon as I finished installing...

    Dell

Macnn.com bundled this with news that Microsoft may have to lower software prices due to the popularity of the open source community. The readers had a field day with it...One suggested that Michael Dell do what he said Apple should have done years ago: liquidate everything and give the money...

    The new iMacs thread (merged)

I think once you have a subwoofer...you can't go back...It's just not the same. Same with broadband. :) My best friend and his wife are in the market for a new iMac. They are going to become switchers hehe.. I sent them a link to the Apple store and let them know the iMacs had been updated...

    Still Mesmirized over OS X

The first time I ever used it I was blown away by the way it looked. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before (having missed the NeXT era)..At first, I was little hesitant. It was so radically different, I didn't understand it at first...seriously. I would stay in OS 9...and come back to X...

    Slashdot on Jobs for President

Thanks for the link. I don't read Doonesbury much. I check it out once in a while. This one was a good one. :)

    Slashdot on Jobs for President

It must be pretty cool to have people try to draft you into running for President. They said Steve Jobs had contacted them and declined. :) I have noticed people that support Bush seem to be brainwashed. They are oblivious to anything he does- it's like he is some kind of idol to them...and...

    Happy Birthday to the Macintosh

It was 19 years ago yesterday 1-24-03 when the first Macintosh was released. :) "You will see why 1984 won't be like 1984." The infamous commercial preceded the release....and lead to one of the most successful product launches in history. I had forgotten about the anniversary...until...
