I'm running OSX 10.3.8 and WinXP Pro. My computers run into a generic no-name brand switch and then that swtich runs to the wall. I live in a dorm...so wherever the wall goes from there is unkown to me. Since I'm on a network with literally thousands of other people at my university...

On startup, even when I remove it from the startup items, "Database Daemon" shows up. I'm assuming it has something to do with Entourage because it has the Entourage icon. I don't have any Microsoft programs though. Any ideas on how to get rid of this?

I have a photograph where I isolated the part I wanted then adjested the threshold to where it's just one color shadow shapes. Is there a way to turn it into editable vector paths so i can edit/manipulate/resize/etc in Illustrator?

Back in my heathen WinXP days I used Microsoft Money to manage all my finances, budget, etc. but after switching to Mac I just haven't really found anything I'm overly impressed with. I actually still have my PC and use Microsoft Money on it b/c I like it so much. So, I'm looking for suggestions...

Well obviously in a perfect world that would be the case but I'm not convinced that it's obeying my settings. So, my original question still stands.

I have a program that scheduled to run in the background even when the program itself isn't open but it won't run if my computer is asleep. I've set my Energy Saver to never put my computer to sleep but the program still isn't running. So I'm wanting to check and see if my computer does/doesn't...

It just brings Photshop into focus. It doesn't open the file. I figure it's got to be some setting somewhere as a few computers at work do the same thing to will some others will do open them fine.

Would not YOU like to see that?
