Ah, see you made an assumption. You said you tell it like it is. My response was that your "telling it like it is" doesn't seem to memorable and/or enlightening. So, if you're wondering about people and understanding plain English, look in the mirror once you pull your head out ... of the sand.

The 1.2Ghz isn't a bad HD. While it's still under warranty, I'd recommend keeping it. If you want more performance, bump up the ram. It will help. Could also get an external HD for more space, run apps or games off of that (and store your music). Minimises the mobility a little for all you need...

If you have DiskWarrior, it helps keeps iPods running smooth (in my experience using it with a number of iPods).

A single page layout is not the same as a resume. As a designer, Illustrator is a horrible app for creating a resume. I'd never hire anyone who tried sending an Illustrator file when applying for a job. If anything, it would show to me a) that the person doesn't know how to use other programs b)...

Again, why not get an external?

With the price of external HDs so low (and dropping each day), space shouldn't really ber a problem. After ram, I'd say the second-most important aftermarket purchase should be an external for backups and saving space. (iPods are also good for this).

Keep the Cube, cuz your points are way off. Get a PowerMac if you want more punch. But don't complain about costs then.

Illustrator? For a resume? Egads. That's almost as bad as using Photoshop to make one.

Usually 90 days means you get a discount. If you can wait, it might not hurt. Rumors of an iMac tweak and we still don't know the exact date of Tiger, just "first half of the year".

A clean install should do the trick. It's probably residing in receipts and plists and Library stuff. Just wait till Tiger and Backup/iSync is renamed .Mac sync. ...
