It's doesn't seem as simple as its made out to be but once you play around with it, through trial and error, it works much better. I've been able to do a couple of basic workflows such as moving widgets from the download folder to the widgets folder.
But if you hide your dock, having the info at a quick glance is much quicker and easier. I hide the dock. I have F10 if I need to launch an application or open a document. And I can go into the dock if needed.
It's not a G5. And Apple could still announce the passing, finally, of the 3.0 marks at the same release time.

I've never heard of that. You're risking plenty trying to theme with an unsupported application.
If you're really so poor, try and make do with Aqua, or search how to manually change files though you have to be very, very good with PhotoShop and know you way around the hidden files in your Mac.
