If work gave you a laptop to perform work functions, assume you are being monitored, period.
As mentioned above, it all depends on what you mean by "I was handed a MBPro by my company".
Do you use this laptop at work? Via their LAN or WAN?

I can hear a significant difference between 128 and 160. And have myself convinced that I "may" hear a difference between 160 and 192. So I go a step higher to 224 variable. And MP3 for compatibility.
I too would be pissed if my harddrive were touched!
Having said that, there are two types of people in the world ... those who back up regularly and those who will wish they did.
bmwlover06,
did you get any software when you picked up your machine? If so, that is the OS you have. I'm guessing you have no software (on floppies or CD?). So not only did your Mac come without RAM or a harddrive, it also came without an operating system (which would have resided on the...
I was afraid of this day.

Cleo, what kind of car did you buy? Be as specific as possible.
"MP3 Playback" often means you can burn MP3s onto a CD and play the CD in your car. The advantage is you can get 100+ songs on an MP3 CD versus 20 or so on a conventional CD.

The point being, if you give others permission to access your system, then yes, they can access your system. And they can do whatever you have given them permission to do.
Do you really mean to ask if someone can access your computer if you have NOT given permission?

I think DeltaMac has it, I must have had a 'crossover' model. It most certainly came with Tiger loaded (not upgraded) and I decided to go backward with Panther that I owned separately. I did not realize that it was simply a matter of luck that I was able to downgrade.
Are y'all sure? I am certain that I went backward on my G4 iBook that shipped with Tiger and did a clean install of Panther. Of course that was three years ago.
Super easy to access the AP card on your iBook. Lift up the keyboard and there you go!

So in other words, Giaguara, are you saying that my iTunes library can never get too big without iTunes being the very least of my worries? Neat perspective and something I can grasp, thanks!
