I was under the impression they were one in the same. In fact, when I signed up for the deal under MacHeist, I was sent to the MacUpdate site with a MacHeist logo in the upper corner. I believe they were, ulitmately, the same offer.

actiontec seems to have a lot of problems with their power supply. I had one and it was always dropping its connection. I went with a plain-Jane cheap Belkin and it has been great.
Did you install any software when you hooked up your printer? There are often settings included that affect output. Even if you don't recall installing software, try to print something and check the middle drop down menu in the final dialogue confirmation window.

I would re-import these exact same CD's and hope that works.
Option two for me would be to use a program called ieatbrainz, does a decent job. A better job if your music is more mainstream.
