Cons of iPhone and Apple TV

Bingo. I think Apple snuck back into the PDA world via the backdoor. "Yes we remember the Newton, but this is not a PDA, it's a phone!" Also, I can't help but think we are looking at the next iPod. Rip out the phone guts and you've got tons of space to put in memory storage. Maybe even...

Buying a used iPod from someone...

And honestly, you don't even need to re-format. As soon as you connect it to your computer it will ask if you want to "associate" this iPod with this computer. Selecting yes will change the association (and delete any songs from your friends library). The de-authorizing stuff has to do with...

Nice picture. I've never seen Bryce with that much snow. Southern Utah has got to be one of the most beautiful places on earth.

    MP3 trouble.

Seeing as how you are running 10.2, Boot Camp is not likely an option for you (the newer intel-based machines only).

Computer storage full, what about having it only on the iPod?

Hardware failure, battery failure, software lock-up, loss, theft . . . Just think how many times posters here are told to "reset" their iPod. Poof. Gone.

Computer storage full, what about having it only on the iPod?

You can sync podcasts separately from music and vice versa. Setting music to sync manually (ie., never if you delete the song files on your computer) and setting podcasts to sync however you like should enable you to utilize the ipod in the manner you suggest. Now, for the ugly part. It would...

Make iPhoto stop using new "rolls" on every import of pictures

I may have misunderstood and will reiterate what has been said above: stay out of iphoto's finder folder structure. You will either get pissed off or create an ungodly mess. Actually, you will likely accomplish both. You will really need to use another photo management program if you want to...

Make iPhoto stop using new "rolls" on every import of pictures

click on the library roll, then go up to view and select how you would like your photos sorted. Sorted by roll is one option, but you can also choose by date, name, etc. Be aware, that you have to choose some system for sorting, but it doesn't have to be via roll.

    Not Enough USB Ports

Do yourself a favor, don't scrimp on ports or power. You'd be suprised how fast you fill up ports. What if you get an iPod, a GPS, an iWhatever? I would go for at least four. Also, make sure it is powered. Seems like all my devices just simply perform better if the USB hub is powered via...

    Who wants to go flying?

I was really impressed when I read the report. There must be an entire department in Apple thinking of ways to integrate the iPod into every aspect of life. I'm not worried at all, the better integrated the iPod becomes...well...the better it makes my iPod experience. I also found it...

    .AVI to DVD converter

OK, stupid question of the day. Will a divx capable DVD player play an avi file burned straight to a DVD-R disc? I'm trying to understand this whole codec, container, format stuff and....well....let's just say it's not sinking in. Any help appreciated.

    How much does it take...?

I'm having a hard time deciding if you are being satirical or not. The Constitution is NOT the current problem with this country . . .

    How much does it take...?

This is not new at all. The vast majority of people have always been relatively uneducated and seemingly apathetic. I say seemingly only because they are generally more concerned over keeping a roof over their heads, food on the table, and clothing on their backs. What comes across as apathy...
