How about trying this: • Backup your data from your external drive on your OSX machine. • Plug the external into OS9 • Format • Test read/write • Plug the external into OSX • Put data back on. • Plug External in OS9 • Try it :) Hope this helps CJ

Did you try my shredder idea? Trash the file you thats read only.

Go back into OSX. Open disk utility. Select the drive. File. Fix Classic Permissions.

I find uBuntu can kick drives out of these stupid little strops. If not: I recently had a drive that wouldnt mount. Try it in a different sata cable. (like where the cd drive is)

Have you guys tried booting into safe mode?? If you manage to. BACKUP that precious data! (Tip: Hold shift during startup)

Yep 200GB is set to master. 160GB set to slave. I've tried limiting the drive, Setting it as a master too and cable select. Nothing.

I can't get a job. Im 15. Plus. I run my own business at the moment. That is my job. And all money I get isn't going towards a computer. My Mac's are fine. It's how you use them. I dont see any of them running a online business??
