Have you checked 'Passive ftp' in DW's Edit Sites dialogue? I had a similar problem until I did that.

Be careful with scripts from sites like those - It's only at the last minute you discover the scripts only work in versions up to Flash 4. They are very slow at updating for 5 or MX. Take a look at some of the 'useful' tips on Macromedia's own site - their pages frequently only go up to Flash 4...
