Well, I'm a UNIX virgin, so I have no idea what that means @ all. I know VERY little UNIX, and all I know is that last time, that just gave me a lin eof text to type in, and it set "confirm" as the default.

There was an Apple commercial on MTV which showed the G5 crashing through the walls of a house, and out into the yard. The copy read "Seriously fast." The interesting part is that the display was also SERIOUSLY wide....it was obviously larger than the 23".

Actually, the superdrive CAN be fit into the iBook g3 (the dual USB, which is the white model). You can't use iDVD, because it requires a G4 processor, but you can burn data DVD's. http://www.mcetech.com/sdibook.html

I can't live without tabs. But "pages side by side" seems to be a big deal with Apple. They touted it with the original tiBook, with the LCD iMac, and again with the 17" powerbook. It just sounds BIG, and big is good for sales.

I'm aware that this pic is just a render....but I'm hoping that the new displays look JUST like this. They've had rumors flying around about the 30" FOREVER now (I think macrumors confirmed it a few months ago), but I WAAAANT one. I can't imagine what it'd cost though...
