You can also lock the computer from the keychain folder...you can place a little "padlock" icon in themenu bar that locks the screen or user account when you click it

EyeTV is really the only choice. I have one, and it ROCKS. That MyTVtogo or whatever its called it a piece of crap...I got it, and returned it the same day. EyeTV is pricey, but worth every cent.

I just got my third LCD iMac a few weeks ago (a 1ghz 17"), and when I got it home, I noticed that the screen is crooked. It's only off by 2 or 3 degrees, and I probably wouldnt have noticed it if I didn't have something hanging on the wall behind it. Does Apple cover this under warranty?

For what you're using it for, even the iMac would be overkill. I just got one last week (upgraded from a G4 700 iMac), and it's FAST. For the kind of money you'd spend on the 17" PB/G5, you could get yourself an iMac AND an iBook.
