ok, I have a MB pro (still learning the OS) but here is the problem. 1st setup was working with an external 24' monitor via single HDMI. I would close lid (now I know it's called clamshell mode) :) hit the external keyboard and work at the office in this manner. Unplug, go home lift the lid...
