I really, really need to be able to see js errors using Safari - anyone got any ideas on how I might do this?

Where is the default extensions folder for 1.4.1? Normally I would expect it to be jre/lib/ext - but doesn't seem to be on os x. Or am I missing something? Secondly what is the purpose of the /Systems/Library/Java/Extensions folder? Many thanks
