I've edited every .xinitrc file I could find to open kwin as my window manager but it's still using Quartz-wm when I open KDE. What am I doing wrong?

Ok so my diskwarrior disk is shot but I saved all the info on my harddrive. Now what I want to do is to burn it on a cd and boot off it. I have Toast 6.0.3 but there's no option of making it bootable. How do I go about doing this. It's probably really simple but I'm really tired. :(

Windows XP pro is slow on my iBook G3 500mhz 640MB of ram. I close the finder and all that and that kinda helps. But is there any tips on making it faster? I really just use it for my GPS I don't need it for anything else.
