I found Scanwise (download from Agfa Support site) far more reliable than FotoLook which came with my Agfa Snapscan 1236. You might like to try that - much nicer interface
As an aside my SCSI connectivity (via Adaptec 2906) disappeared completely with Jaguar and all upgrades thru 10.2.4...
