    HD keeps spin up and down after deep sleep in OS X

    Appletalk slows network access

    I'm networked via a cable/dsl router, and I've noticed that turning appletalk off speeds up my internet access a whole bunch (though it doesn't make any difference in OS 9.) Anyone else seen this? Any idea why? (Just because appletalk is "chatty"?)
