I've got a disk taken from a dead G3 iMac, which was running OS9 *and* OSX so I have been told.
I have connected the disk to my new Intel iMac and can see lots of files on there but it seems like they are all OSX files. I see some reference to OS9 files but they seem like shortcuts...
