    It's a combination of the Zyxel modem and the G4 Sawtooth 450. For some reason, this combination requires a crossover cable. My TiBook was fine w/ the straight-through and the Zyxel. That was the frustrating part.

    I just got a new DSL router (ZyXel 645) with a static IP. I set up all the TCP/IP settings on my G4 AGP 450 and when I connect the two with an ethernet cord, there's no link light- an no network. Opening up Network Utility says the Link is inactive and the ip address = 0.0.0.0. If I plug my...
