Recently, within the last two days. Illustrator has been truncating my digital imaging filenames with a ~ or a #. This is making it almost impossible for other users on the server to find and modify these files which is essential as this is a graphic arts business. Please, help me!!!

Several fonts in my font book changed from a book file to a .doc at random, and now are not openable. How can I change them back, or at least get them to work?! This is for a business graphic arts networked system so an answer as soon as possible would be awesome. Thank you!
