    Hi, Can't find any reference to the DC-DC board that you suggested may be the cause of the problem. Can't find it listed as a replaceable part. Suspect that its soldered to the main board. Is this the case and if so where? How can I recognise it? Thanks.

    new imac-OSX 10.5.6 -how to import from sony handycam

    May not be of any help but I have to save video in SD rather than HD on the camera before my Mac would recognise the HandyCam. I also have to connect the camera and see its HD mounted on the desktop before I launch iMovie. My Mac can't find the drive if i try anything other than this.

    My MacBook Pro 15.4, 2.4Ghz slowly drained the battery while still connected to the mains, went to sleep and wouldn't restart. No light on the charger magsafe plug so bought a new charger. Made no difference so bought replacement battery. MacBook started up, chime, fans, log in screen then...
