Cannot scan from Lexmark X2650 to iPHOTO

I have had trouble finding scanned images from my Lexmark before. I believe my daughter found them in my documents for me. I have no clue why they did not go to iphoto, but they didn't.

    Viruses On Os X

This made me laugh because someone from my internet provider tried to tell this exact crap recently. He even pulled out the Steve Jobs story and claimed Macs can be hacked faster on a direct attack than pc's.

    Viruses On Os X

I will check those programs out, thanks. I do hate when websites just start talking to me, grrrr. It would be great to stop that one for sure. As for the attack being a spoof, I think the information from the headers proves they are spoofs. Hotmail said that, plus it looked like that to me when...

    Viruses On Os X

Do you also have a facebook account? If not, we can rule that out. My email is not public there, but I am still suspect of it a bit. I have to admit that my password was not strong also. It is very strong now. I have learned my lesson that!

    Viruses On Os X

I did sign up at Facebook, using that hotmail address, a few weeks before I found my account hacked. Facebook does scan your contact list for potential friend accounts already on Facebook, when you go through the sign up process. I do know the spam sent did come from inside my hotmail (from an...

    Viruses On Os X

I don't go to porn sites, but I do go to quite a few coupon and freebie sites. Anyone heard of issues recently at those type sites for macs? I ran the check though any and DNSChanger was not found.

    Viruses On Os X

It was an actual ad for something, but I don't recall what exactly. I do have pop up blocker enabled on FF, but sometimes it doesn't catch them all. There is one site I visit monthly that blocks them on the first page, but the second click I make always launches a pop up ad. I just close it and...

    Viruses On Os X

Thank you all so much for your replies. I am sorry I didn't get a chance to get back here sooner, but hubby and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary yesterday. I am going to check out all the links posted, but I feel much better now. I should have known I would get great info here, because...

    Viruses On Os X

I hope this is the right place to post this. How do I find out if I have malware on my Macbook pro? I recently had a hotmail account hacked. I contacted them and they say it was from malware. I don't know how to find out if they are right. I do know my hotmail account was hacked into and spam...

    Web pages won't load

I am online now on my laptop. The router did fix that issue. However, it won't work with osx10.3.9 that is on the desktop. I am not really worried though, since my baby is working properly again. I have no clue why the connection worked for over a year and then quit, but no matter it is working now.

    Web pages won't load

I am pretty sure it is broadband dsl. I do not have to have a modem and it stays connected all the time. I am back from getting the router and will see if it works later today.

    Web pages won't load

I really need to figure this out, so I guess I am going to go get a router. I live in the sticks and it is a long drive to town. I can't afford a router right now either, but I am going to do it anyway because I need this fixed. Technology is giving me a hard time this week. Cell phone sim card...

    Web pages won't load

I do not have an external modem, we connect direct into the wall. I have been connecting this way for more than a year and am just now having an issue. No matter how much I reset, the lap top will still not connect. While on the phone with my provider, they reset the ip addy, etc. but it still...

I have a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.5.6 I connect to the internet with an ethernet cable direct into the wall. When I open the network connection box, it says the ethernet is connected, but it will not load any web pages. Friday I was using it fine and then got off. Came back a bit later and could...
