Thanks for your response Giaguara. It seems that there was a program opening 'at login' and stopping this helped. I am not sure where the program came form though, or how to find and delete it for good. Any suggestions?

I just got a MacBook about two weeks ago. I migrated all my settings etc. form my old G4. Here is the problem: When I go to set a new background picture on my desktop, it seems to work fine and the picture becomes my background. However, every single time, no matter what picture I select...
