Im just now learning macs... but as far as i know visual pc is basically windows xp for mac.. so u can run windows apps.. does this mean all windows apps will work under visual pc? including windows games...? (what does visual pc do exactly?)

I didnt consider a DP 1.42, because they aqrent much better, and its an extra 1k.. infact dual 1.42 is more then dual 2ghz g5 :o

huh. Dual 3ghz Xeon Alienware system, 3k. And maybe thats what needs to be done. Dont buy the G5's until they drop.

Macs are moving at a slow pace. Soon Grantsdale wintel boards with Itanium2 and PCI Express will be released. Blowing the socks off a G5. Dual 3ghz Itanium 2's.. :o for half the price! I love the look of all Macs... but I find myself talking myself into one, rather then knowing its the best...

what bothers me... is you see these Dell laptops, with 3.06P4's with HT... and then these ibooks... for just as much... just 10 steps lower in performence. UGH. I like the G5, and the high end G4's... but ugh.

using an old cpu on a new piece of hardware is stupid. G3 cpu's on 2003 ibooks? g3's were released like 4 years ago. Put some g5's in them. you dont see wintel machines putting Pentium II's in there laptops, do ya?
