    as a quick / cheap 'bodge' there are cheap USB soundcard dongles on Ebay for a few pounds / dollars which will prob give you working reliable sound - until you get the thing fixed

    if all else fails, try a Linux CD or even attempt to fix the bootloader with the lovely rEFIt app... perhaps boot the .iso version (burnt as an image) and install this nice graphical boot loader / chooser. good luck..

    The Windows drivers for Mac's are on the OS X install discs, (certainly are on Snow Leopard anyway) and do it that way. Apple has has probs with the bootcamp drivers no downloading. Once Windows is running with the bootcamp drivers off the OS X disc, they will get updated to the latest version...

    Have you tried Click2Flash ? it plays Youtube videos in Quicktime player. sounds like Safari has broken. i would re install Safari.
