UPDATE: Somehow, I got it somewhat working again. Now my problem is that the video in my project won't play. It doesn't show up in the viewer so I can't even see what I'm editing.

I imported some footage into iMovie and for some reason when I run my mouse over the footage nothing happens - one random picture keeps showing up on all of my footage. The viewer is grey and I can't drag any of the footage into the project area. Does anyone know the problem? I've been going...
