bluetooth is not new - Jaguar has it too. Bluetooth is a wireless networking protocol. There is SOOOOO much information on bluetooth on the web (you could try starting at, uh, www.bluetooth.com..., or putting bluetooth into google and seeing what happens. Not too difficult, mate.)

Most conversions are a multiplication/division calculation though (lb to kg etc - teh exception being temperature, because fahrenheit doesn't start at zero) - the trick is just remembering what the factor is. 1024 is easier to remember than most - but still, I think it was a valid point.

Guessing about this - but a pixel as recorded in a document is not always shown as a pixel on the screen - when you zoom for example. Might non-square pixels be recorded differently so that when you scale a document, you don't get the dreaded jaggies? Just a guess - seems like it's a nice...

good choice dude - same as mine. I would REALLY recommend upgrading to the 512 SODIMM as soon as you can (640mb total, because you have to take 128mb of the existing memory out so it will fit :() - you'll see a massive difference in the speed of everything.

if you want to use the ipod on a windows pc, it needs to be in windows format. If you want to use the ipod on a mac, it needs to be in mac format. Simple enough. The windows drivers for the ipod will not read/sync a mac format ipod, and vice versa.

I got an iskin, and a pair of sennheiser px200's - best portable cans I've ever listened to, and money well spent - really benefits from the full-quality aac encoding...

BUT if you format the ipod to mac file system, you won't be able to read it on a windoze pc - and vice versa. So you have to make a call between one or the other. Trust me, I am in teh same position - winpc at work, mac at home, and a 30gb ipod that won't talk to both unless I wipe it first...
