Thanks for the suggestion. I am now stopping using the machine. I just searched the file in Time Machine and no in there too as the last backup was two months ago.
I have an later 2014 rMBP with 128 SSD. I emptied the trash two days ago to release more storage. Under such circumstance, is it possible to retrieve the deleted documents?
