Windows XP will NOT use my AirPort hardware.

Just for the record, it is extremely time consuming to crack WEP. It can take anywhere from an hour to a few days, depending on network traffic. On a simple home network the easiest way to keep it secure is to turn off SSID broadcasting and change the WEP key often.

Wireless Solutions For Beige Legacy Macs

The only thing that comes to mind is a ethernet-to-wireless bridge. If you move it around a lot though this would be annoying, because you would need a power outlet for the bridge and a network cable running to it all the time.

networking my mac to my pc???

A router will share your internet connection quite nicely, and it will also act as a switch so you can share files. To share your printer you will need a print server. This depends almost entirely on the make/model of printer you own. If you have a printer with both USB and parallel port...

    Bridging Airport to Ethernet

I have two TVs in my house. One is upstairs, and one is downstairs. My entire network is downstairs, but I have a basestation that reaches upstairs. I have an X-Box and my friend has an X-Box, so when we have LAN parties we have to move one TV downstairs. Is there any way I can bridge the...

    No Ethernet Configurations

I tried that, DHCP or any other ethernet configurations just would not show up. I didn't have any info saved on it, as its just a print server, so it seemed like a quick fix. I've installed many different operating systems many different times, so it is nothing new to me. My problem is not...

    No Ethernet Configurations

Well, okay for the sake of others that may have this problem I'll tell you what I did, but my problems have just worsened. I tried to reset the default network settings, but it still showed no ethernet configurations. Yes I am running through a DHCP router that automatically assigns IP and...

    No Ethernet Configurations

Okay, I have a 350mhz G3 system set up as a print server. It is running OS X Jaguar. It just stopped working on the network, so I opened up System Preferences and found that everything in the drop down for Configure under the TCP/IP tab are for Dial-up Modem settings. I have Built-in Ethernet...
