There's one called Space you can download from http://www.versiontracker.com. Haven't used it seeing as my copy of X is *still* on the way, but I've heard it's decent....

We discussed this to some length over @ arstechnica and came to the conclusion that Apple's java implimentation still leaves alot to be desired. I guess it's still on the X.1 list. here is a link to the thread where we hashed it out.

So can you change it in 9.1 and have it show up in X?

From what I've heard, Classic now uses very few system resource when it's idle. I'll be able to confirm this in T minus two days. If you're going to do something very intensive, than their's probably of host of other thing's you're going to want to kill (SSH, ftp to begin with) which will...

I somehow doubt that Apple would imbed a discription of their market stratagy in the OS X code :) More likely it's just a way of saying, "There's nothing to tell the processor." Not that I know anything about what events would accompany a kernal panic, that's just what makes sense to me.
